Beta terms of use
These straightforward terms explain the responsibilities of teachers and organisations using ExamGen during its free closed beta.

Using the beta
ExamGen is currently available by invitation to approved teachers and organisations. By using the service, you agree to these terms and confirm that you are authorised to use the email address and school or organisation workspace connected to your account.
The beta is provided free of charge for evaluation. Features, availability and future pricing may change, and participation in the beta does not guarantee ongoing free access.
Account responsibilities
- Keep your password and setup links private.
- Use only your own account and do not share sign-in access.
- Tell ExamGen promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
- Follow your employer's policies when using a work account.
Acceptable use
You must not use ExamGen to:
- Store student names, student results, health or wellbeing information, staff HR information, or other sensitive records.
- Upload material you do not have permission to use or that infringes another person's rights.
- Break the law, harm another person, distribute malware, probe other organisations' data or bypass security controls.
- Interfere with the service or use automated access that creates an unreasonable load.
Your questions and resources
You or your organisation retain ownership of the questions, solutions and resource content you submit. You give ExamGen a limited permission to host, process, back up and display that content only as needed to provide, secure and support the service.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to use the content and for checking every generated resource and solution before it is used with students. ExamGen assists with preparation but does not guarantee curriculum alignment, mathematical accuracy, appropriate difficulty or error-free document layout.
Availability and beta changes
ExamGen will take reasonable steps to keep the beta available and protect stored content, but uninterrupted access, permanent storage and error-free operation are not guaranteed. Keep copies of important final materials outside ExamGen.
We may change, suspend or end beta features, or suspend an account when reasonably necessary for security, misuse, legal compliance or service operation. Where practical, affected participants will be notified.
Responsibility and contact
To the extent permitted by law, ExamGen is not responsible for indirect loss resulting from use of, or inability to use, this early beta service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian law.
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Questions can be sent to mark@examgen.com.au.
